in Sterling silver with a brass bezel and flame, this pendant features a lab-created ruby (corundum). in Christian tradition the flaming heart represents Christ's passionate love for the Church, but over the years it has morphed into a symbol of passion or desire, among other things. to me the flaming heart looks both ancient and timeless, mysterious and flagrantly eye-catching.
